2024: The year of the maternity leave
If we've seemed a bit quiet recently, 2024 was quite the year for a dozen eggs. We grew in numbers, but not in the conventional business sense and found ourselves all on maternity leave at the same time!

Towards the end of 2023 Jo welcomed Joshua into the world. A little brother and partner-in-crime to big brother James. He’s a very happy little chap who is thoroughly enjoying exploring the world around him. He’s had the crayons out a fair few times already, although undecided about which colour tastes the best.

March saw us welcome Beth’s youngest daughter Esther. She has a zest for life and a need for speed. What she lacks in experience, she makes up for in passion and determination and she has promptly taken over as CEO of the family.

And Connie – Fran’s daughter – joined us soon afterwards in April. With a love of tiny details, exploring and waving at anyone who’ll notice her, she’s already got the hang of the life of a designer – joining meetings, listening to lectures and enjoying the magic of a wacom tablet!

We are now all back at work having enjoyed our maternity leaves, and looking forward to getting stuck into some great projects.

The last 17 months wouldn’t have been possible without the generosity of our clients. Thank you to all those who have sent us work ahead of time, have been patient when there has only been one of us manning the ship or have rejigged deadlines so we’ve been able to hit the ground running now that we are back! It meant we’ve been able to complete lots of projects and enjoy the balance of family and work.
